Hello, my name is Lucy, welcome to my blog all about social work. I've been a child protection social worker for a number of years now. I am currently an agency social worker as it allows me to take time off to go travel to various destinations around the world.

Over the years I have struggled to get the information that I wanted about social work but also as an agency social worker too, how it works and what is expected. The aim of my blog is to help others  with similar or different questions to what I had when I have not known the answers.

My intention is to provide an honest account of being a social worker for those interested in making a career out of it or for those who are just starting their career. Whilst I honestly think it can be one of the most rewarding jobs out there, it can also be one of the most challenging.
